Depression Communication Training

Practice for people who want to communicate with someone experiencing depression

Structured lessons, open-text dialogue, and evaluative feedback help learners practice reflective listening and empathic responses while comparing how different wording affects a conversation.

Use context

Many people want to support someone experiencing depression but are unsure how to respond without unintentionally dismissing them. The project provides repeatable scenarios for practicing specific wording and reviewing feedback.

Design judgment

Six chapters and eighteen exercises introduce reflective listening and empathic responses. Learners write their own words and receive feedback. This is a communication-practice tool and does not provide diagnosis or medical advice.

My role and validation

I contributed to project design, prompt engineering, model training, and testing. Completed work includes bilingual lessons, a 3D practice scene, open-text interaction, and a deployed demonstration.
